Stamford Van Hire’s Grand Opening

Stamford Van Hire recently held an opening event to celebrate their new environmentally efficient facility being unveiled.

The Mayor of Trafford, Councillor John Holden and the Lady Mayor unveiled a plaque officially opening the new premises which were 2 years in the planning and building due to the limited capacity in the existing site.

The new premises boasts a grey water system which recycles rain water into our car cleaning pressure water, new low wattage lighting coupled with a modern roof which throws in more light cutting down on electricity usage.

As well as the environmentally friendly features, the new site has also created more employment opportunities for the community, starting with assisting young people to gain apprenticeships.

After beginning in 1976, Stamford Van and Car Hire became a part of the Turner Group in 2003, and in 2012, our branding ‘Turned Green’ to coincide with the rest of the company and progress with our environmental policy. Through continued growth and the development of the business, we eventually required a larger premises to store vehicles, improve operations and increase customer satisfaction.

The new build was developed just around the corner from the existing site on Manchester Road, with a fantastic new workshop, fitted with state of the art equipment to allow for any and all upgrades or repairs to their vehicles to be completed in house. The new branch also offers a great new building with more offices, a comfortable reception and a large yard to store vehicles as well as for customer parking.

The opening was a huge success, with many local business leaders and suppliers in attendance as Mr Holden met the Stamford Van Hire team. The Mayor was able to gain a great insight into the hard work put in by everyone at the company and the positive impact it has on the local community.
