Terms and Conditions of Hire
Rates Include: Full maintenance, oil and 24
hour rescue cover. Rates include 250 miles a day. For weekly
rentals, rates include unlimited mileage.
Rates Exclude: Fuel, top up oils and
punctures.
Payment: Hire charges are payable on
commencement of hire, together with the compulsory excess/deposit
of £250 or £500 for minibuses/ 7.5 tonne vehicles (refundable if
vehicle returned in same condition as given). Payment may be made
by credit or debit card. Cheques up to the limit of the guarantee
card can also be accepted.
Hirers will be asked to provide 2 forms of identification with
the address matching the driving licence.
Driving Licence: Must be produced at time of
rental. Hirer and any additional driver must have held a full
driving licence for at least one year and accumulated no more than
6 penalty points. Certain endorsements may be accepted at the
company's discretion. Only drivers approved at the time of rental
may drive the vehicle.
Age: Minimum age of 23 years for car and small
van hire and a minimum age of 25 years for minibuses, vans and
trucks.
Vehicles: Are not permitted out with mainland
UK without prior written permission from Turner Hire Drive. Any
rentals so permitted will be liable to a surcharge. Suitable
breakdown cover must be arranged, by the hirer, prior to
commencement of journey.
Insurance: The undernoted are NOT covered by
insurance and are the responsibility of the hirer.
- Windscreens and Mirrors (some examples include: chip;
crack)
- Body damage above windscreen height (an example would be roof
damage caused by height restricted areas)
- Damage to wheels and tyres (some examples include: punctures;
loss of wheel trims)
- Damage/Burns/Stains etc. to the vehicle interior.
- The costs incurred to repair the vehicle if incorrect fuel is
used.
NB The hirer is responsible for the damage repair amount up to
the value of the compulsory excess / deposit, in respect of each
and every incident involving the hired vehicle.
Period of Rental: Vehicles must be hired from
and returned to the company's office within normal business
hours.
Operators Licence: Customers wishing to hire
vehicles over 3.5 tonnes gross weight, being used to carry goods in
connection with a trade or business, must have suitable operators
licence.
Minibuses: All driving licences issued after
1997 must include category D1 to enable the hirer to drive a
15-seat minibus. Licences issued prior to 1997 are not
affected.
All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions on rental
agreement. Prices subject to change. Website enquiries will be
